In second place finished the Riley & Scott MKIIIC – Elan n.36 of the Jim Matthews Racing team with Guy Smith, Scott Sharp, Robby Gordon and Jim Matthews with a gap of six laps, while in third position the Lola B2K/40 – Nissan n.8 of Rand Racing and Risi Competizioni team with drivers Anthony Lazzaro, Bill Rand, Terry Borcheller and Ralf Kelleners with a gap of twenty-one laps to winner.
