The Japanese Tom’s Team Toyota team with Satoru Nakajima, Kaoru Hoshino and Masanori Sekiya at the wheel of the Dome 85C – Toyota n.36 finished twelfth at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1985 with a gap of forty-four laps to winner. The race was won by Porsche 956B n.7 of Ludwig, Barilla and Winter deployed by the Joest Racing team winners of the race. In second place the Porsche 956 GTI n.14 with Jonathan Palmer, James Weaver, Richard Lloyd, while in third position the Porsche 962C n.2 with Derek Bell and Hans Joachim Stuck.
