HISTORY

The Ferrari 333 SP is a prototype that participated in the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1997. In 1994 Ferrari decided to return to competing in the Sport Prototype races but not officially, but offering a car to its customers. The 333 SP was designed by Dallara and fitted with a Ferrari engine with concepts derived from Formula 1. In the five years that followed the Maranello house, it entrusted the modifications to Michelotto Automobili.

The Scandia Motorsports team with Andy Evans, Fermin Velez, Yannick Dalmas and Stefan Johansson with the Ferrari 333 SP n.3 winner the 12 Hours of Sebring 1997. In second place the Riley & Scott MKIII – Ford n.16 of the Dyson Racing team with Andy Wallace, James Wheaver and Butch Leitzinger with a gap of one minute, while in third position the Riley & Scott MKIII – Oldsmobile n.4 Dibos Racing Racing team with Jim Pace, Barry Waddell and Eduardo Dibos Chappuis.
