HISTORY

The Ferrari 333 SP is a prototype that participated in the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1998. In 1994 Ferrari decided to return to competing in the Sport Prototype races but not officially, but offering a car to its customers. The 333 SP was designed by Dallara and fitted with a Ferrari engine with concepts derived from Formula 1. In the five years that followed the Maranello house, it entrusted the modifications to Michelotto Automobili.

The American Momo Doran racing team with Mauro Baldi, Giampiero Moretti and Didier Theys with the Ferrari 333 SP n.30 winner the 12 Hours of Sebring 1998. In second place the Panoz GTR-1 – Ford n.4 of the Panoz Motorsports team with Andy Wallace and David Brabham with a gap of one lap, while in third position the Porsche 911 GT1 n.74 of the Champion Motors team with Thierry Boutsen, Bob Wollek and Andy Pilgrim wit a gap of one lap.
