Description

PEUGEOT 908 HDi FAP n.8

HISTORY

The Peugeot 908 HDi FAPis a prototype that participated in the 2007 24 Hours of Le Mans. After almost fifteen years since their last participation in Le Mans, the French manufacturer tries to regain the home race with a car that seems be aesthetically an evolution of the Peugeot 905 of 1993. Like the Audi R10 also the 908 is equipped with a diesel engine with the FAP system connected to the exhausts, but unlike the German car is a coupe. Pedro Lamy, Stephane Sarrazin and Sebastien Bourdais at the wheel of the Peugeot 908 HDI FAP n.8 finished second at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2007 with a gap of ten laps to winners.

The race won to Emanuele Pirro, Frank Biella and Marco Werner with the Audi R10 TDI n.1, while in third position Jean-Christophe Boullion, Emmanuel Collard and Romain Dumas with the Pescarolo P01-Judd n.16.
