The 2016 Porsche 919 hybrid is the third evolution of the initial design of 2014 is part of the LMP1-H prototype category, has two engines: a thermal fueled petrol, flanked by an electric powered by a lithium ion battery. The Porsche 919 hybrid uses two energy recovery systems, from exhaust gases and braking.

The recovery attempt failed, and I crossed the finish line in thirteenth position to 38 laps from the sister car, the Porsche n.2, winner of a race that saw yet another defeat of the Toyota, which lost the race due to a technical problem three minutes from the end while he was largely in the lead.
