HISTORY

The Porsche 935-K3 n.41 is the winning car of the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1979. Designed by Norbert Singer, the 935 had a potential that in the hands of the brothers Manfred and Erwin Kremer had its maximum success with their modified version K3, in which the front and rear aerodynamics were radically revised and the displacement of the 3.2-liter engine was increased.

Ludwig and the Whittington brothers won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979 with the Porsche 935-K3 n.41, the 935 conquered the whole podium with the second place in eight laps with the Porsche 935 n.70 of the American team Dick Barbour Racing of Rolf Stommelen, Dick Barbour and the Hollywood actor Paul Newman, while in the third place in ten laps the Porsche 935 n.40 of Laurent Ferrier, Francois Servanin and Francois Trisconi.
