The German Rothmans Porsche team with Derek Bell and Hans Joachim Stuck at the wheel of the Porsche 962C n.2 finished third at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1985 with a gap of seven laps from the Porsche 956B n.7 of Ludwig, Barilla and Winter deployed by the Joest Racing team winners of the race. In second place the Porsche 956 GTI n.14 with Jonathan Palmer, James Weaver, Richard Lloyd.
