Description

PORSCHE DAUER 962 GT LM n.36

HISTORY

The Porsche Dauer 962 GT LM is the winning car of the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1994. Yannick Dalmas, Hurley Haywood and Mauro Baldi won the 1994 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Porsche Dauer 962 GT LM n.36, thanks to a very regular race. In second place came the Toyota 94C-V n.1 of the LMP1 class of Eddie Irvine, Pierluigi Martini and Jeff Krosnoff, while in third place the Dauer n.35 of Thierry Boutsen, Danny Sullivan and Hans-Joachim Stuck, both detached from the threesome winner of a lap. The racing car derived from the road, was designed by Jochen Dauer with the supervision of the house in Stuttgart, they managed to change the 962 making it suitable for the new ACO GT1, exploiting a quirk of regulation in which it did not specify how many road cars were sold.
