HISTORY

The Toyota GT-One TS020 is a prototype that participated in the 24 hours of Le Mans in 1999. Toyota thanks to the changes to the FIA ​​regulations is registered in the new LM-GTP category, the designer Andrè De Cortanze the aerodynamic lines making the car one of the fastest in the race, where it reached 351 km/h. Allan McNish, Thierry Boutsen and Ralf Kelleners at the wheel of the Toyota GT-One TS020 n.2 did not finish at the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1999.

The race was won by Winkelhock, Martini and Dalmas winners with the BMW V12 LMR, they did not have the time to recover.

The Toyota after the many punctures during the race were checked in Cologne and it was discovered an aerodynamic fault, which accumulated through the aerodynamic flow debris that caused damage to the tires.
