The Toyota TS050 hybrid is the third LMP1 car produced by the Japanese company since its return to the endurance category. The car completely revolutionized by the previous TS040, is equipped with a twin-turbo 2.4-liter V4 engine combined with an 8mj hybrid system. The hybrid system generates its power by recovering energy from the braking system at the front and rear by means of an ion lithium battery. The car won the second place in the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2016 with the number 6 of Sarrazin, Kobayashi and Conway, touching once again the victory of the race with the number 5, which stopped three minutes from the end of twenty-four hours complaining of a loss of power of the hybrid system. In the World Endurance Championship he obtains the best result with the 6-hour victory of the Fuji with the number 6 piloted by Sarrazin, Kobayashi and Conway.
