Cars Ltd team with Jack Sears and Dick Thompson at the wheel of the AC Cobra Daytona – Ford n.11 finished eighth in the 24 hours of Le Mans 1965 with a gap of forty-four laps to winner. The race won by Ferrari 275 LM n.21 with Masten Gregory, Jochen Rindt, in second place the Ferrari 275 LM n.26 with Pierre Dumay, Gustave ‘Taf’ Gosselin, while in third position the Ferrari 275 GTB n.24 with Willy Mairesse, ‘Beurlys’ Jean Blaton.
