The Swiss Scuderia Filipinetti team with Peter Sutcliffe and Peter Harper at the wheel of the AC Cobra Daytona – Ford n.59 did not finish in the 24 hours of Le Mans 1965 due to broken head gasket after one hundred twenty-six laps. The race won by Ferrari 275 LM n.21 with Masten Gregory, Jochen Rindt, in second place the Ferrari 275 LM n.26 with Pierre Dumay, Gustave ‘Taf’ Gosselin, while in third position the Ferrari 275 GTB n.24 with Willy Mairesse, ‘Beurlys’ Jean Blaton.
