The race was won by Duncan Hamilton and Tony Rolt with the Jaguar C-Type n.18, in second place finished Stirling Moss and Peter Walker with the Jaguar C-Type n.17 with a gap of four laps, while in third place the Cunningham C5-R n.2 of Walters and Fitch with a gap of five laps . The Ferrari 375 MM n.12 of Ascari and Villoresi was the only one to keep up with the winners until the clutch broke at the twentieth hour.
