HISTORY

The British Donald Healey Motor Co team with drivers John Rhodes and Clive Baker at the wheel of Austin – Healey Sprite – BMC n.48 did not finish at the 24 hours of Le Mans 1966 due to broken clutch and water pump after one hundred thirty-four laps.
The race was won by Ford MKII n.2 with Chris Amon and Bruce McLaren, in second place the Ford MKII n.1 with Ken Miles and Denny Hulme, while Ford MKII n.5 with Ronnie Bucknum and Dick Hutcherson.
