HISTORY

The Chevrolet Corvette C3 is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1968. The car was designed by Larry Shinoda.

The America Scuderia Filipinetti team with Umberto Maglioli and Henri Greder at the wheel of the Chevrolet Corvette C3 n.3 did not finish at the 24 hours of Le Mans 1968 due to broken head gasket after fifty-three laps.

The race was won by Pedro Rodriguez and Lucien Bianchi at the wheel of the Ford GT40 n.9 of the Team John Wyer Automotive Engineering, in second place the Porsche 907 LH n.66 with Rico Steineman and Dieter Spoerry while in third place Porsche 908 n.33 of Rolf Stommelen and Jochen Neerpasch of the official team.
