HISTORY
The Chevron B16 – BMW is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1970. The car was designed by Derek Bennett.
The British Paul Watson Race Organisation / Chevron Racing Team with Clive Baker and Digby Martland at the wheel of the Chevron B16 – BMW n.44 did not finish at the 24 hours of Le Mans 1970 due to broken engine after one hundred eighty-seven laps.
The race was won by the Porsche 917 K n.23 of Hermann Hans and Richard Attwood, in second place the Porsche 917 K LH n.3 with Gerard Larrousse, Willi Kauhsen, while in third position the Porsche 908/2 LH with Helmut Marko, Rudi Lins.
