The American Luigi Chinetti / Heldé team with Heldé’ Pierre-Louis Dreyfus and René Dreyfus at the wheel of the Ferrari 340 America n.16 did not finish in the 24 hours of Le Mans 1952, due to broken transmission after forty-one laps.
The race was won by the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL n.21 with Hermann Lang and Fritz Riess and the second place of the twin car n.20 of Theo Helfrich and Helmut Niedermayr with a gap of one lap, while in third position the Nash-Healey 4 Litre n.10 with Leslie Johnson and Tommy Wisdom.
