HISTORY

The Ferrari 512 S is a car that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1970. The car was designed by Mauro Forghieri.

The American North America Racing team with Ronnie Bucknum and Sam Posey at the wheel of the Ferrari 512 S n.11 finished fourth in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1970 with a gap of thirty laps to winner.
The race was won by the Porsche 917 K n.23 of Hermann Hans and Richard Attwood, in second place the Porsche 917 K LH n.3 with Gerard Larrousse, Willi Kauhsen, while in third position the Porsche 908/2 LH with Helmut Marko, Rudi Lins.
