The French Norbert Jean Mahé / Mécanorma team with José Scaron and Norbert-Jean Mahé at the wheel of the Gordini Type MM – Simca n.49 did not finish in the 24 hours of Le Mans 1952, due to broken fuel pump after forty laps.
The race was won by the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL n.21 with Hermann Lang and Fritz Riess and the second place of the twin car n.20 of Theo Helfrich and Helmut Niedermayr with a gap of one lap, while in third position the Nash-Healey 4 Litre n.10 with Leslie Johnson and Tommy Wisdom.
