The Jowett Jupiter R1 is the car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1952.

The Dutch Maurice Gatsonides team with Maurice Gatsonides and Hugo Van Zuylen Nijeveldt at the wheel of the Jowett Jupiter R1 n.64 did not finish in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1952, due to broken engine after sixty-nine laps. The race was won by the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL n.21 with Hermann Lang and Fritz Riess and the second place of the twin car n.20 of Theo Helfrich and Helmut Niedermayr with a gap of one lap, while third with fifteen laps of delay Nash Healey n.10 of Leslie Johnson and Tommy Wisdom.
