HISTORY

The Matra Simca MS660C is a prototype car that took part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1972.

The French Equipe Matra-Simca Shell team with Jean-Pierre Jabouille and David Hobbs at the wheel of the Matra Simca MS660C n.16 did not finish in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1972 due to broken transmission after two hundred seventy-eight laps.

The race was won by Matra Simca MS670 n.15 of Henry Pescarolo and Graham Hill. Second the Matra Simca MS670 n.14 with Francois Cevert and Howden Ganley, while in third position the Porsche 908 LH Coupe n.60 with Reinhold Joest, Michel Weber, Mario Casoni.
