HISTORY

The Moynet XS – Simca is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1968. The car was designed by André Moynet.
The French André Moynet team with Jean Max and Rene Ligonnet at the wheel of the Moynet XS – Simca n.54 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1968 due to broken oil pump after six laps. The race was won by Pedro Rodriguez and Lucien Bianchi at the wheel of the Ford GT40 n.9 of the Team John Wyer Automotive Engineering, in second place the Porsche 907 LH n.66 with Rico Steineman and Dieter Spoerry while in third place Porsche 908 n.33 of Rolf Stommelen and Jochen Neerpasch of the official team.
