HISTORY

The German Porsche System Engineering team with Jo Siffert and Hans Hermann at the wheel of the Porsche 908LH n.31 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1968 due to broken clutch after fifty-nine laps.

The race was won by the Ford GT40 n.9 of Pedro Rodriguez and Lucien Bianchi, in second place the Porsche 907 LH n.66 with Rico Steineman and Dieter Spoerry, while Rolf Stommelen and Jochen Neerpasch at the wheel of the Porsche 908LH n.33 finished third.
