The German Gelo Racing Team with Gijs Van Lennep, John Fitzpatrick and Toine Hezemans at the wheel of the Porsche 911 Carrera RSR n.58 finished fifth in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1975 with a gap of twenty-one laps to winner. The race was won Gulf-Mirage M8 – Cosworth n.11 with Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell, in second place the Ligier JS-2 – Cosworth n.5 with Jean-Louis Lafosse, Guy Chasseuil, while in third position the Gulf-Mirage M8 – Cosworth n.10 with Vern Schuppan, Jean-Pierre Jaussaud..
