HISTORY

The Porsche 911 GT1 is a prototype that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1996.

The German Porsche AG Team with Hans-Joachim Stuck, Bob Wollek and Thierry Boutsen at the wheel of the Porsche 911 GT1 n.25 finished second at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1996 with a gap of one lap to winner.

The race was won by Manuel Reuter, Davy Jones and Alexander Wurz at the wheel of the TWR-Porsche WSC-95 n.7, in third position the Porsche 911 GT1 n.26 with Karl Wendlinger, Yannick Dalmas and Scott Goodyear with a gap of thirteen laps.
