HISTORY

The French Auguste Veuillet team with Guy Chasseuil and Claude Ballot-Léna at the wheel of the Porsche 911 T n.44 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1968 due to broken engine after two hundred twenty-four laps. The race was won by Pedro Rodriguez and Lucien Bianchi at the wheel of the Ford GT40 n.9 of the Team John Wyer Automotive Engineering, in second place the Porsche 907 LH n.66 with Rico Steineman and Dieter Spoerry while in third place Porsche 908 n.33 of Rolf Stommelen and Jochen Neerpasch of the official team.
