HISTORY

The Porsche 936CJ is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1982. The car was developed from an chassis of the Joest team for the regulation of the C class.

The German Joest Porsche Racing and Team Belga team with Jean-Michel Martin, Bob Wollek and Philippe Martin at the wheel of the Porsche 936CJ n.4 did not finish in the the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1982, due to broken engine after three hundred twenty laps. The winner the race was Porsche 956 n.1 with Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell, in second place Porsche 956 n.2 with Jochen Mass and Vern Schuppan, while in third position the Porsche 956 n.3 with Al Holbert, Hurley Haywood and Jurgen Barth.
