HISTORY

The Sigma MC74 – Mazda is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans of 1974.

The Japanese Automobiles Mazda team with Yojiro Terada, Yasuhiro Okamoto and Harakuni Takahashi at the wheel of the Sigma MC74 – Mazda n.25 finish not classified in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1974 due to insufficient distance. The race was won by Henry Pescarolo and Gerard Larrousse at the wheel of the Matra Simca MS670C n.7, in second place with six laps of distance came the Porsche 911 n.22 of Gijs van Lennep and Muller while in third position Jean-Pierre Jabouille and Francois Migault at the wheel of the Matra Simca MS670C n.9. The Matra MS670C during the season also won the World Sport Prototype Championship and at the end of the year announced the withdrawal.
