HISTORY
The Sthemo SMC2 – BMW is a prototype that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1984. The French Hubert Striebig team with Hubert Striebig, Jacques Heuclin and Noel Del Bello at the wheel of the Sthemo SMC2 – BMW n.85 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1984, due to broken transmission after forty-one laps. The winner the race was Porsche 956B n.7 with Klaus Ludwig and Henry Pescarolo, in second place the Porsche 956 n.26 with Jean Rondeau and John Paul jr, while in third position the Porsche 956B n.33 with David Hobbs, Philippe Streiff and Sarel Van Der Merwe.
