HISTORY
The Tiga GC288/9 – Cosworth is a prototype that participated at the 24 hours of Le Mans 1992. The was designed by Howden Ganley.
The Italian Team S.C.I. team with Ranieri Randaccio, ‘Stingbrace’ Stefano Sebastiani and Vito Veninata at the wheel of the Tiga GC288/9 – Cosworth n.29 did not finish in the 24 hours of Le Mans 1992 due to broken transmission after one hundred one laps.
The race won by Peugeot 905 n.1 with Mark Blundell, Yannik Dalmas and David Warwick, Masanori Sekiya, Pierre-Henry Raphanel and Kenneth Acheson with the Toyota TS010 n.33 finished in second place while in third place the other Peugeot 905 n.2 with Mauro Baldi, Philippe Alliot and Jean-Pierre Jabouille.
