HISTORY

The URD C81 – BMW is a prototype that participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1982.

The French Michel Lateste team with Hubert Striebig, Michel Lateste and Jacques Heuclin at the wheel of the URD C81 – BMW n.30 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1982 due to broken engine after forty-five laps. The winner the race was Porsche 956 n.1 with Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell, in second place Porsche 956 n.2 with Jochen Mass and Vern Schuppan, while in third position the Porsche 956 n.3 with Al Holbert, Hurley Haywood and Jurgen Barth.
