HISTORY

The Audi R8 n.2 is one of the three prototypes of the Ingolstadt manufacturer that participated in the 24 hours of Le Mans in 2002. The German manufacturer after the victories of 2000 and 2001 continues the adventure endurance with the R8 aware of the useless efforts of the adversaries in countering their domination. The German Audi Sport North America team with Rinaldo Capello, Johnny Herbert and Christian Pescatori at the wheel of the Audi R8 n.2 finished second in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2002 with a gap of one lap from the winner.

The race won to Frank Biella, Emanuele Pirro and Tom Kristensen with Audi R8 n.1, while in third place the Audi R8 n.3 with Marco Werner, Philipp Peter and Michael Krumm.
