FERRARI 330 TRI/LM n.6
The Ferrari 330 TRI/LM is the winning car of the 1962 Le Mans 24 Hours. The new car of the Italian manufacturer was derived from the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa three times winner of Le Mans, modified in the frame lightened with tubular pylons of narrower diameter and mounting a V12 engine of the fifties updated and enhanced. Gendebien and Hill won the 1962 24 Hours of Le Mans with the Ferrari 330 TRI/LM n.6, was the last victory of a car with a front engine in Le Mans
The Maranello builder despite some reliability problems with the other cars achieved its third consecutive success. For the two drivers it was the second consecutive success in pairs and the third in pairs, while for the Belgian driver the third consecutive success.
The 250 GTOs of the private teams arrived on the podium, second the Noble and Guichet Ferrari 250 GTO n.19 of the Belgian Noblet team, third the Ferrari 250 GTO n.22 of Eldè and Beurlys of the Equipe Nationale Belge team.
