HISTORY

The Ford GT n.68 is a car that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016. The car presented in Geneva in 2015 was launched for the fiftieth anniversary of the first victory at Le Mans in 1966 with the Ford GT40 n.2 with Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon, and had a 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine.

The American Ford Chip Ganassi Team UK with Joey Hand, Dirk Muller and Sebastien Bourdais at the wheel of the Ford GT n.68 won in the GTE PRO class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, and eighteenth in the classified overall. The American car was brought in the race by the Chip Ganassi Racing team along with three other cars and got the third place class with the n.69 of Briscoe, Westbrook and Dixon, in second place came the Ferrari 488 GTE n.82 with Fisichella, Vilander and Malucelli.

The race won by Porsche 919 Hybrid n.2 with Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb
