HISTORY

The Ford GT n.85 is a car that participated in the GTE AM class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2019. The American manufacturer entrusts its GT to the Keating Motorsport team, trying to win the junior class. Winn’s sponsors the American team, giving the car a particular color.

Ben Keating, Jeroen Bleekemolen and Felipe Fraga at the wheel of the Ford GT n.85 were disqualified for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2019 due to problems with the refueling system. Keating’s and GT’s Ford GT had won the race. On Monday, the International Automobile Federation disqualified the car for breaking two fuel supply regulations. The first, to fill the tank too quickly, and the second, because the car carried more fuel than it was allowed. The victory in the GT AM class went to the Porsche 911 RSR n.56 of the Project 1 team with Jorg Bergmeister, Patrick Lindsey, Egidio Perfetti, who finished the race thirty-first at fifty-one laps behind the Toyota TS050 n.8 winner of the race.
