The Gulf Mirage GR8 Cosworth is the winning car of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1975. The car was designed expressly for the French race by the team of John Wyer supported by the oil sponsor Gulf, the English team manager had announced the withdrawal, but I think about it after the change of regulation that greatly limited consumption and that led to the renunciation of many official builders. Jacky Ickx and Derek Bell won the 1975 Le Mans 24 Hours with the Gulf Mirage GR8 – Cosworth n.11, which thanks to the American engine showed a great regularity and reliability.
