HISTORY

The Lola Aston Martin DBR1-2 is a prototype that participated in the 2009 Le Mans Series Championship. For the 50 years since its only victory at the 1959 Le Mans 24 Hours with the Aston Martin DBR1, the english team decided to deploy a car in the LMP1 class to challenge the Peugeot 908 and Audi R15 favorites. The livery with the colors of the sponsor Gulf made the car very vintage.

Harold Primat, Peter Kox and Stuart Hall with the Lola Aston Martin DBR1-2 n.009 did not finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2009 due to accident after covering two hundred and fifty-two laps.

The race won by Peugeot 908 HDI FAP n.9 with Alexander Wurz, Marc Gene and David Brabham, Stefhane Sarrazin, Sebastien Bourdais and Frank Montagny with the Peugeot 908 HDI FAP n.8 finished second, while third the Audi R15 TDI n.1 with Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish, Rinaldo Capello
