HISTORY

The Audi R18 e-tron quattro n.2 is the prototype of the german manufacturer that participated at the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2013. After the victory in previous year with the Audi R18 n.1, the second version of the R18 e-tron quattro presented an evolution of the hybrid system with a storage system A flywheel designed by Williams Hybrid Power, it gave off power to the front wheels, making the car out of corners a four-wheel drive.

The German Audi Sport Team Joest with Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Loic Duval at the wheel of the Audi R18 e-tron quattro n.2 winner the 24 hours of Le Mans 2013. For the danish rider was the ninth victory in the french race. The trio also won the 6 hours of Silverstone and the 6 hours of the Circuit of the Americas, and the final victory of the WEC Championship.

In second place finishe the Toyota TS 030 – Hybrid n.8 with Anthony Davidson, Sebastien Buemi, Stephane Sarrazin with a gap of one lap, while in third position Audi R18 e-tron quattro n.3 with Marc Gene, Olivier Jarvis, Lucas Di Grassi with a gap of one lap.
