HISTORY

The Lotus – Renault 98T is a single-seater that participated in the 1986 Formula 1 World Championship. Designed by Gerard Ducarouge and Martin Ogilvie, the car was equipped with a very fast but high consumption Renault turbo engine.

Johnny Dumfries with the Lotus – Renault 98T n.11 arrived thirteenth in the 1986 Formula 1 World Championship with three points in season. Together with his teammate Ayrton Senna they took Lotus to third place in the constructors’ title.
