HISTORY

The Lotus – Renault 98T is a single-seater that participated in the 1986 Formula 1 World Championship. Designed by Gerard Ducarouge and Martin Ogilvie, the car was equipped with a very fast but high consumption Renault turbo engine.

Ayrton Senna with the Lotus – Renault 98T n.12 arrived fourth in the 1986 Formula 1 World Championship with two victory in season. Together with his teammate Johnny Dumfries they took Lotus to third place in the constructors’ title.
