HISTORY
The Genesis GMR-001-Hypercar is a prototype car that participated at 24 Hours of Le Mans 2026. The car designed by Genesis and Oreca.
The Korean Genesis Magma Racing team with André Lotterer, Luis Felipe Derani and Mathys Jaubert at the wheel of the Genesis GMR-001-Hypercar n.17 did not finish in the 24 Hours of Le Mans 2026 due to broken suspension front after one hundred eighteen laps.
The race was won by Toyota Racing team with Mike Conway, Nick De Vries and Kamui Kobayashi at the wheel of the Toyota TR010 Hybrid n.7. In second place the BMW M Hybrid V8 n.20 with drivers Sheldon Van Der Linde, Robin Frijns and René Rast with a gap of ten seconds. While third Brandon Hartley, Sébastien Buemi and Ryo Hirakawa at the wheel of the Toyota TR010 Hybrid n.8.
